Time Trials
Time Trials is an original IP created by Golden Studios exclusively for Steam.
Plot[edit | edit source]
Ever since the beginning of time, there existed a race of being known as the Time Masters who keep time & space from collapsing in on itself by correcting any errors or preventing paradoxes. They live by a strict code to never abuse their powers their own entertainment, and for hundreds of eons those codes where upheld...until it was time for Nilac Dnop, a rookie Master, to take up the mantle. Very quickly, the young Time Master got bored of watching over time, with everything playing out exactly as he expects with a few hiccups here and there. He was dying for something exciting.
Then, one day (er, as close to days as Time Masters get), Nilac had an idea. Using his powers, he created an alternate reality with locations similar to places across history, and then created clones of famous people in history. With the snap of his finger, he had these clones fight in a contest he made up called "The Time Trials". Hopefully this doesn't mess up anything or Nilac will be in pretty hot water...

Character/Super Move | Description/Biography | Powers/Abilities |

Sir Arthur S: Excalibur |
Sir Arthur is from the Medievil ages of the world, becoming the king of England when he held Excalibur in his hand. He's loyal, cunning, and strong, pretty much perfect to be a knight. These are the very reasons he was chosen for this, after all. Rumor has it that he and Cleopatra have a soft spot for each other, oftan times "flirting" on the battlefield. His Super is Excalibur, where he stabs the legendary shield into the ground, causing a huge shockwave with tons of damage and knockback. |
Melee Weapon: Steel Sword Range Weapon: Bow & Arrow Special Weapon: Magic Sheild |
Merlin the Wizard S: Curse of Doom |
Merlin is King Arthur's right hand man, being his best friend during the old days and still helping the king out when he's in a jam. His wise knowlage, his loyalty, and his knack for spells and magic has made him a perfect choice for Time Trials. He and Arthur are usually put on the same team, as they are both good friends, but aren't afraid to have a "good 'ol tussle." His Super is Curse of Doom, where he casts a curse spell. Anyone in range will get debuff with numborious effects until they get defeated. |
Melee Weapon: Magic Staff Range Weapon: Healing Beam Special Weapon: Teleportation |
Cleopatra S: Plauge of Egypt |
Cleopatra is the beautiful queen of Egypt, during a time where leaders where elected until death. Her knowlage of the Egyptian Gods, along with the fact that she's more competent then her guards are, landed her a spot within the Time Trials. She has since then taken a liking towards Sir Arthur, and luckily for her he seems to return the feelings. Her Super is Plauge of Egypt, where a swarm of Lotus surround her. Now if anyone touches her, they'll take damage. She takes less damage as well. |
Melee Weapon: Twin Knifes Range Weapon: Sun-Beams Special Weapon: Voodoo Doll |
Caveman S: Raptor Rider |
This guy is one of the first men to be alive, and is understandably really stupid and has no sense of whenever theres danger unless it's food or hunting related. Neverless, the Caveman did invent fire for the first time, so he was brought in to fight. He's now discovered his hidden love for fighting. It's unhealthy how much he likes it, actually. His Super is Raptor Rider, where he hops onto a wild Raptor. While it's hard to control, it can nearly 1-hit kill opponents when coming into contact. |

Magic Forest This forest is in Englend, and deep within it is the magical sword of Excalibur. But to get to it, there are usually tons of ogers, beasts, or any other magic creature preventing anyone from getting to it. Luckily for the Time trial they've all been moved somewhere else in order to have a clean and fair fight. Some can be seen, though. |
Gamemodes[edit | edit source]
Gamemodes |
---|
All-Out/Team Battle The most basic gamemode. There are 2 teams of 5, and the goal is to try and score as many kills against the other team as they can in a 3-5 minute time limit. The team with the most kills scored wins. This is one of the few modes to include Powerups, which can be used to either give an advantage to yourself/your team, or to give a disadvantage to the other team. There is also a similar mode where it's every man for themself, and the player at the end with the most kills wins instead of a team. |

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Originally, there was going to be a generic WWII soldier to represent WWII. However, to capitalize on the fact that the game is PC Exclusive, Golden Studios struck a deal with Valve to use TF2's Soldier instead as a guest character, using weapons from the game itself.
- Cuphead was also considered to guest star to represent 30/40's animation, but was decided that one guest character was enough already. Plus, Microsoft wouldn't allow it.
